Key Peninsula News reached out to The Callahan Collaborative after a major structural change and the addition of new board members. We co-designed and facilitated a retreat to build relationships, develop clarity around vision and mission, and build consensus on strategic focus.
Robin created an agenda-driven, mission-focused environment that genuinely valued input from everyone at the table. Her easy going style came with a clarity and purpose that moved our board forward on the agenda items without feeling rushed. We were able to accomplish much more than I imagined possible.
Our board members walked away feeling valued, energized, united in purpose and with a clear vision of the future. Under Robin’s guidance we established a game plan to achieve our goals with an outline of governance needed to get there. The amount of ground we covered in a relatively short time period was impressive. We could not have accomplished so much without her and yet it didn’t feel like work, the process was enjoyable. The money spent on Callahan Collaborative was an investment in ourselves that will continue to pay off.
As their executive for well over five years, I personally felt more valued and genuinely supported by our board of directors than ever before. I am eager about the board building a more sustainable future for Key Peninsula News, a newspaper that values, respects and helps nourish the whole community it serves.
